Joseph David Matthews' Obituary
Joseph David Matthews, 37, of New Haven, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at home. Born in Fort Wayne, he was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church. He was employed with Highmark TechSystems, Fort Wayne. He loved spending time with his family, especially his daughters and nieces and nephews. A history and movie buff, he also enjoyed going paintballing and playing video games.
He is survived by his parents David (Gail) Matthews and Nancy (Chris) Klinker; daughters, Bailee Matthews and Rylee Conklin; siblings, Sarah (Stuart) Stephan, Katie Matthews, Anthony Gordon, Allison (Patrick) Bryan, Alex (Sara) Gordon, and Peyton Klinker; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at New Haven United Methodist Church, 960 Lincoln Hwy E, New Haven with visitation two hours prior. Burial in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials to Bailee Matthews College Fund, c/o David Matthews.
