Johnnie Oliver Croy's Obituary
Johnnie Oliver Croy, 66, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his family. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Albert and Lavinia (Fletcher) Croy. He was a member of the SMW 20 Sheet Metal Workers Union, Fort Wayne. Johnnie enjoyed IU Basketball, NASCAR, and the outdoors. A devoted grandfather, he loved spoiling his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rebecca Thomas; children, Misty (Al) Ray-Villareal, and Amber (Dan) Anderson; sister, Deb (Butch) Saylor; grandchildren, Ashlyn, Braeden, Kolten, Caeden, and Parker, also 9 step grandchildren; in-laws, William Collins, Barbara Croy, and Billy Ray. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Shirley Collins, Larry, and David Croy. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitations one hour prior to service. Visitation is also Monday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial is at Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco. Memorial may be made to Parkview Home Health & Hospice, Fort Wayne.
