John Mowry's Obituary
John Paul Mowry, 91, of Fremont, formerly of New Haven died Sunday, January 16, 2011 at home with his family by his side. Born in Dekalb, County he was the son of the late Daniel and Mary Mowry. He was a member of the New Haven United Methodist Church. The Army Air Corp veteran served his country in WWII and retired in 1981 from Fruehauf after 35 years.
He is survived by children, John (Linda) Mowry of Fremont, Marge (Roger) Lewis of Fort Wayne, and Patti (Lynn) Miller of New Haven; brothers, Wayne (Esther) Mowry of Wolf Lake, George Mowry of Waterloo, and Bud (Marty) Mowry of Angola; grandchildren, Angie, Sarah, Paul, Joanna, Alicia, Simeon, Micah, Titus, Lydia, Silas, Hannah, and Susanna; and three great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife Mary Mowry in 2000; and siblings, Nelson Mowry, Treva Bodey and Louise Rosenberry.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Thursday, January 20, 2011 at New Haven United Methodist Church, 630 Lincoln Hwy E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Pastor Rick Taylor officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial is in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to your local area hospice.
