John David Kidd Sr.'s Obituary
John David Kidd Sr., 77, of New Haven, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Parkview Memorial Hospital – Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born in Marion, Ohio he was the son of the late O.C. and Iva (Dutton) Kidd. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. He served his country in the US Air Force. John worked for G.E. for 30 plus years as an operations manager. He was a member of Whispering Meadows Golf Course, New Haven and was big fan of I.U. basketball. He also enjoyed watching and reading old westerns.
He is survived by his children, Kassie (Kirk) Ripple of New Haven, Kelly Screeton and John (Bobbi Jo) Kidd Jr, both of Fort Wayne; siblings, Tom Kidd of Fort Wayne, Pat Kidd and Linda (Ray) Villanueva both of Roanoke, and Nancy Lantz of Huntington; and ten grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Mary in 2015; and sister, Norma Jean Wilson.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic, 943 Powers St., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Masses.
