During your time of pain and deep sorrow I hope that the scriptures are able to bring your family some comfort. The Bible calls God the father of Tender Mercies and God of All Comfort who is able to comfort us and all of our trials. The Bible also promises that soon death and pain will be no more in the Book of Revelation chapter 21 versus three and four. My deepest condolences are with your family at this time.

I remember one summer long ago when I went to visit Dave and Dean at their sieler rd. home.We were in the driveway and Joe was telling me about the time he test rode dave's 750 triple Kawasaki motorcycle. Joe went on to say, I looked down and the front tire was off the ground! It was so fast that I couldn't tell. He beamed as he went on with the story. Joe had a way with people. My heart goes out to you all and prayers too. I have so many wonderful memories of my uncles growing up; camping and singing around the campfire. Uncle Joe was funny and loved kids. Great memories!

Although we haven't kept up in the last few years, you and Joe were a big part of Charlie's and my lives, Good neighbors, good friends and church co-workers. Lots of good memories from JC's and other activities..

You will always be "Mr. Mitchell" to me. You taught me the importance of community involvement (you and Mrs. Mitchell had just celebrated the 150 celebraton of Indiana) as I got to know y'all. I looked up to you and Mrs. Mitchell because of your involvement with church and community. I never took my kids to UMC Youth Group without thinking about you two. I would go with Becky and loved it. As the years passed, I would find y'all because your phone number never changed and I never forgot it....ever. You retired and found new hobbies that you excelled at. Always the best you were. I have carried an angel lace pocket with a coin that you gave me probably 10 years ago. I am counting on you being my angel now with my community work. Rest in peace dear man. You served well.
