Joan C. Badders' Obituary
Joan Carole (Thieme) Badders, 91, of New Haven, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Majestic Care, New Haven. Born on October 26, 1933, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Betty (Jordan) Thieme. She was a member St. Paul Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. She married Jeff Duane Badders of Heber Springs, Arkansas on June 13, 1953, who preceded her in death, and was a homemaker during her life. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, playing bingo, and canning food.
She is survived by her children, Linda (Jim) Debolt, Jerri Carpenter, Dennis Badders, Herbert Badders, and Lisa (Scott) Kelley, ten grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ronald Duane Badders; siblings, Richard H. Thieme and Betty Elliott; and son-in-law, Rodger Carpenter.
Funeral service is 11 am Friday, February 28, 2025, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 4 to 7 pm Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are for the family, c/o Linda DeBolt.
