Jerome S. Erpelding's Obituary
Jerome "Jerry" S. Erpelding, 53, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in New Haven, he was a member of St. Louis Besanson Catholic Church, New Haven. He was owner and operator of Erpelding Enterprises. Jerry loved fishing, camping, playing poker, being at the lake, and most of all being a grandpa.
He is survived by his wife, Alice; children, Gregory (Jessica) Erpelding of Woodburn and Anastasia (Matthew Luyben) Erpelding of Fort Wayne; mother, Josephine (Thomas) Erpelding of Plymouth; siblings, Gregory (Jeanie) Erpelding and Jayne (Curt) Auld both of Fort Wayne, Timothy Erpelding, Patricia Swartz, and Theresa (Donald) Poorman all of New Haven; and grandchildren, Robert, Alyssa, and Samantha. He was preceded in death by his father, James Erpelding; step-mother, Mary Erpelding; and sister, Angie Keesler.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Louis Besanson Catholic Church, 15535 Lincoln Hwy E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Father Steve Colchin Officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with a 7:30 p.m. rosary service. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to Relay for Life of East Allen County / Team Erpelding or Masses.
