Jeffrey Wayne Gerig's Obituary
Jeffery Wayne Gerig, 62, of Woodburn, died Sunday, August 6, 2023, at home with family by his side. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Wayne and Marilyn (Scoby) Gerig. He worked for Production Tool, New Haven for over 10 years. He enjoyed gardening, beach vacations, nature, and kayaking. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jayne (Lampe) Gerig; children, Brock (Courtney) Gerig of Fort Wayne and Bryce (Janessa) Gerig of New Haven; grandchildren, DeJay, Kale, Jase, Hadley, and Bronson Gerig; sister, Judie Smith of Hamilton; sisters-in-law, Kristina (Roger) Meyer and Dana (Nick) Klopfenstein both of Woodburn; and mother-in-law, Phyllis Lampe-Bunnell of Woodburn. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bradley Gerig; and father-in-law, Ronald Lampe.
Memorial service is 11 a.m. Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Central Lutheran School. For online condolences please visit www.harperfuneralhome.com.
