Jeanette V. Sowers' Obituary
Jeanette V. Sowers, 91, of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Golden Years Homestead, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Lillian Crum. She was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church for over 50 years. She retired from the New Haven Middle School cafeteria in 1977 after 15 years.
She is survived by her children, Rick (Jane) Sowers and Steven (Dianne) Sowers both of Fort Wayne, and Linda (Ken) Buuck of New Haven; brother, Roy “Don” Crum of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Jeff, Dawn, Scott, Greg, and Casey; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin V. Sowers in 2003; and sisters, Mildred Crum and June Fluttrow.
Funeral Service will be private at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial is in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to Turnstone Center for Children and Adults with Disabilities or Heartland Hospice.
