Jean Ann Messmann's Obituary
Jean Ann Messmann, 68, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Thelma (Howenstine) Dammeier. She retired in 2002 from Nipsco after 37 years and was a member of American Legion Post 377 Auxiliary.
She is survived by her sons, David (Marian Powers) Messmann of Fort Wayne and Douglas (Holly) Messmann of New Haven; sister, Vividean Franklin of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Richard Messmann and sister, Jane Ellen Pitcher.
Private family service. Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Woodburn. Preferred memorials are to Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo or Kate’s Kart.
