Jay "Smooth" Hunter DeWeese's Obituary
Jay “Smooth” Hunter DeWeese, 27, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015. Born in Fort Wayne, he attended The Chapel. He worked as a welder at WickFab, Inc. He spent many years as a Boy Scout, where he obtained the rank of Eagle Scout and was a member of the Order of the Arrow.
He is survived by his mother, Joan (Pete) Steinkamp of New Haven; father, Jeff DeWeese of Auburn; sister, Jenna DeWeese of Fort Wayne; grandmother, Margaret Trzynka of New Haven; and paternal grandfather, David DeWeese.
Private family services. Calling is 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to the family, c/o Katie DeWeese. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
