Janice M. Woodard's Obituary
Janice M. Woodard, 82, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Payne, OH in 1939 she was the daughter of the late Fred and Beulah (Kemerley) Woodard. She graduated from Payne High School in 1957 and went on to proudly serve her country in the US Navy, retiring in 1977 after a 20-year career. She lived in San Diego, CA for many years before returning to be near family in the early 1990's. She retired from Lincoln Financial in 2001. She was an avid animal lover and rescuer, giving a home to many dogs and cats in her long lifetime. She loved walks with her beloved dog, Luke. She is survived by her by her sister, Charlene (Michael) Fromholt; nephews, Wade (Teresa) Fromholt and Tracey (Wanita) Woodard; niece, Teri Lynn (Rod) Young; great-nephews, Samuel, Brandon, and Nathan; great nieces, Nikki, Natasha, Tiana, and Brandy; and cousins, Donna (Riley) Crance, Gwen (Richey) Woods, Dave Richey, and Harold Kemerley. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Sandra Kay, Carol, and Mary Lou Woodard; and brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Annette Woodard. Private graveside service will be held at Lehman Cemetery, Payne, OH, per Janice's wishes. Preferred memorials are to Humane Fort Wayne or Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control.
