Janet Marie Green's Obituary
Janet Marie Green, 68, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at home with her family by her side after a courageous battle with brain cancer. She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Ralph and Gloria (Koester) Buhr on February 25, 1956. Janet was a graduate of Concordia High School and the University of Evansville with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She worked as an RN for 40 years with Parkview Hospital. Janet was one who was always willing to help those in need, including nursing advice to family and friends. Janet enjoyed traveling with family and friends, quilting and most of all being with her grandkids. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Dan; children, Rachel (Ryan) Wilcox and Ross (Sarah) Green; grandsons, Liam Wilcox, Noah and Zane Green; mother, Gloria Buhr; siblings, Michael (Dawn) Buhr and Tamara (Dan) Dahling; mother-in-law, Arlene Green; sisters-in-law, Jan (John) Piper, Deb (John) Johnston, and Libby Green; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Buhr; father-in-law, Wayne Green; and brother-in-law, Tom Green.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2024, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 7710 E. State Blvd, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in the church cemetery.
