Jane M. Evans' Obituary
Jane M. (Henkel) Evans, 70, of New Haven, died suddenly Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Cameron Hospital, Angola. Born in Palestine, she was the daughter of the late Kurt and Paula (Merkle) Henkel. Jane was a beautician in the area and was very involved with the 4-H as a leader. She loved the outdoors and camping near the lakes.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jerry; sons, Todd E. (Tracie) Evans of Archbold, Ohio, and Marc I. Evans of Angola; brother, Richard (Doris) Henkel of Green Valley, Arizona; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling half hour prior. Pastor Thomas Eggold officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to the Alzheimer's Foundation or In Home Services of Ft. Wayne.
