James "Jim" Howard Ragan's Obituary
James "Jim" Howard Ragan, 85, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Churubusco, he was the son of the late Howard and Evelyn (Hart) Ragan. He was a member of St. Joe Community Church, Fort Wayne where he was a youth group leader and was known as "Gym Raygun". He served his country in the US Air Force and retired in 2012 from Fort Wayne Vehicle Auction. He enjoyed bowling, guns, crispy bacon, being with family, and his beloved cat, Bob. He was well known for his humor and sarcasm.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 34 years, Sharon; children, Cathy Wrogeman, Tracy (Eric) Demerly, Rachel Ragan, Jason and Troy Griffin; brother, Robert (Rose) Anderson; grandchildren, Lindsey Wrogeman, Hannah and Makayla Ragan, Alyssa and Dawson Griffin, and Cheldeun Fisher. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Julia Williams; and sister, Carol Nevil.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2022, at St. Joe Community Church, 2900 N. Anthony Blvd, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2022, at the church. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven with military honors. Preferred memorials are to the church.
