James "Scott" Bassett's Obituary
James “Scott” Bassett, 67, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Decatur, he was the son of the late James and Beverly (Lister) Bassett. He was a member of Decatur United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading and gardening. He is survived by his children, Ryan Bassett and Mia Jackson; sister, Nan (Kevin) Cook; and his beloved dog, Peyton. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Calynn in 2021. Family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven.
