James F Pyle's Obituary
James F Pyle, 90, of New Haven, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Golden Years Assisted Living, Fort Wayne. He was born to the late John Pyle and Gwendolyn (Bryan) Huey. On September 19, 1952, he married the love of his life, Alice (Brunner) Pyle. He retired from International Harvester in 1982 after 30 years. After retirement James and Alice wintered in Bradenton, FL for 40 years and were members of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Bradenton. He was also a member of Colony Heights Church of Christ, Fort Wayne. James was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Bradenton, FL. He enjoyed repairing clocks and tinkering with almost anything. James took great pride in working on the model train at Golden Years. He enjoyed the Cubs, NASCAR, and I.U. sports. He especially loved attending his grandchildren’s events. He is survived by his children, Fred (Nita) Pyle, and Brenda (Gayle) Shaffer; 3 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Alice Pyle in August 2023; grandson, Erik Pyle; siblings, Robert and Bill Pyle, Imogene Hart, and Maxine Davis. Funeral service is private per James wishes. Burial in West Lawn Cemetery, Geneva. Preferred memorials are to Stillwater Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
