James "Jim" E. Siebert P.E.'s Obituary
James "Jim" E. Siebert P. E., 84, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Toledo, OH he was the son of the late Hans and Beatrice (Flickenger) Siebert. After graduating from the University of Toledo with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he provided 40 years of service for Magnavox Corp and was a member of the Magnavox Management Club, retiring in 1994. His expertise was then utilized for another ten years, until the age of 75, as a consultant at D&N Microproducts. He was known by his family and friends as a train enthusiast and loved gardening so much so that he volunteered at the Fort Wayne Botanical Garden and the Lawton Greenhouse.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn; children, David (Genevieve) Siebert of Ada, MI and Julie Siebert of Fort Wayne; and grandchildren, Joseph Siebert of Chicago, IL, Haley, Claire, and Ellie Siebert all of Ada, MI.
Funeral Service is 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Haven United Methodist Church, 630 Lincoln Hwy E., New Haven with calling two hours prior. Pastor Chuck Fenwick officiating. Burial in Elm Grove Cemetery, Bluffton. Preferred memorials are to the church or Turnstone. Arrangements by E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven.
