James "Jim" Hake's Obituary
James A. “Jim” Hake, 83, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Parkview Hospital - Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born in Zulu he was the son of the late Andrew and Faith (Small) Hake. He retired from International Harvester after 30 years. He was a member of The American Legion Post #330, New Haven. Jim was an Army veteran and proudly served his country in Panama.
He is survived by children, Steve (Collette) Carcione of Van Wert, OH, Curt (Carolyn) Carcione and Rosie (David) Johnson both of Wolcottville, Doug (Ana) Hake and Kim (Ty Myers) Hake both of Fort Wayne; sisters, Jane Reuille of Fort Wayne, and Sharon (Gene) Savieo of Pottstown, PA; Eleven grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty in 2006; daughter, Kandy Hake; sisters, Jeanette Lortie and Nellie Hake.
Funeral service is 1 p.m. Tuesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 SR 930 East, New Haven, with calling one hour prior to service. Pastor William Amberg officiating. Calling is also 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial in St. Louis Besancon Catholic Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to the American Lung Association.
