James Howard Gossard's Obituary
James Howard Gossard, 85, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at home with his family by his side. Born in West Newton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Jack and Ruth (Richardson) Gossard. He attended Indian Lake Church of the Nazarene, Lakeview, Ohio and was a member of Lima Baptist Temple, Lima, Ohio. A devout Christian, he was saved at the Mount Zion Church, Harrod, Ohio and later rededicated his life at the Auglaize Bible Church, Harrod. He served his country in the US Army National Guard and was a lifelong farmer. Jim loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed supporting his grandchildren at livestock fairs. He also enjoyed traveling, fishing, OSU sports, drag racing and a good ice cream. He enjoyed having breakfast with his farm buddies at Bob Evans. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Cheryl; sons, Jamie (Diane) Gossard of Columbus, Danny (Kimberly) Gossard of Harrod, Mathew (Julie) Gossard of Waynefield and John (Kristen) Gossard of Harrod; sister, Barbara Jo (Richard) Redmond of Clearwater, FL; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Funeral service is 12 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Lima Baptist Temple, 982 Brower Rd, Lima with visitation two hours prior. Burial in Salem Cemetery, Harrod. Preferred memorials are to a St. Jude Children's Hospital or Donor's Choice. Family would like to thank Tammy Point of Point Health Ministries for her excellent care of Jim.
