James "Jim" Andrachik's Obituary
James “Jim” Andrachik, 77, of New Haven, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at Parkview Heart Institute, Fort Wayne. Born in Lakewood, Ohio he was the son of the late Michael and Margaret (Gruss) Andrachik. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven and the Knights of Columbus. He served his country in the US Air Force as an air traffic controller and was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 3164. He retired in 1991 as the owner of Andy’s Wallpaper Warehouse and in 2000 as general manager of AccuTemp Product, Inc. He had also worked for Tri-State Memorials.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ramona; children, Aaron Andrachik of Sacramento, CA, Christopher Andrachik of Fort Wayne, Sharon McKern of Lorain, OH, Valerie (Skip) Kohlmyer of Orlando, FL, Jodie (Jon) Rister of Antwerp, OH and Dawn (Butch) Cotton of Asheville, NC; 12 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Michael Andrachik and Sandra Bohrer.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic, 943 Powers St., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with vigil service at 3:30 p.m. Burial in the church cemetery. Preferred memorials are to Masses and St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
