Jack Grabach's Obituary
Jack Grabach, 86, passed away on August 27, 2017 at home with his family by his side. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Everett Sr. and Merle (Lebingooth) Grabach. He served his country in the US Army and was a member of the American Legion and Howard Bandelier VFW 2457. Jack was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. While he had many loves, his grandchildren and precious great grandchildren were at the top of his list.
He is survived by wife of 63 years, Hilda; sons, Randy (Paula) Grabach of Kalamazoo, MI and Rick Grabach of Fort Wayne; sister, Sandra (Jim) Kyler of Columbia City; grandchildren, Caleb, Isaiah, Gideon, and Kenny Grabach; and great grandchildren, Arissa, Eli, Kennedy, and Abel Grabach. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Everett Grabach, Jr., Josephine Travis, and Mae Thomas; grandson, Caine Grabach; and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Grabach.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Chaplain Britney Sloffer officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorial to Visiting Nurse, Fort Wayne. Per Jack’s request, please feel free to wear casual dress.
