Ivan Bernon Brames' Obituary
Ivan Bernon Brames, 76, of New Haven, died on Thursday, November 28, 2013 at Parkview Hospital – Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born in Jefferson Township, he was the son of the late Clem and Mary Brames. He was a member of St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church, New Haven. Ivan retired in 2002 from Navistar with over 40 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Virginia; siblings, Charles Brames of New Haven, Sister Theresa Ann Brames of Milwaukee, WI, and Louise (Thomas) Sekel of Woodburn; sister-in-law, Joyce Brames of Angola; many nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Virgil Brames, Jerry Brames, and Rita Martin.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven. Father Steve Colchin officiating. Calling is 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, December 1, 2013 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with a vigil service at 4:30 p.m. Burial in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Masses or St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church Restoration Fund.
