Iona M Richhart's Obituary
Iona M. Richhart, 97 passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Golden Years Homestead, Fort Wayne. She was born on December 3, 1918 in Fort Wayne. She was the daughter of the late Rolla and Idella (Wilson) Shuler. She was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church, New Haven. A secretary at New Haven High School, she retired in 1980 from East Allen County Schools after 20 years.
She is survived by her children, Linda Rohrbacher and Janet (Joe) Darvish both of Fort Wayne and Russell (Darva) Richhart of Adrian, MI, seven grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Erwin Richhart, in 1978, one brother, one sister, and her lifelong friend, Hazel Degitz.
Funeral service 10 a.m. Saturday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 SR 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior to service. Pastor Chuck Fenwick officiating. Calling is also 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to New Haven United Methodist Church and Heartland Hospice.
