Howard W. Hildebrandt's Obituary
Howard W. Hildebrandt, 94, of New Haven, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Grey Stone Health and Rehabilitation, Fort Wayne. Born in Altoona, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Specht) Hildebrandt. He was a founding member of Lifeway Wesleyan Church, Fort Wayne. Howard served his country in the US Army during the Korean War and retired in 1992 from Dana Corp with over 31 years. He enjoyed woodworking, telling jokes, inventing, and loved his Lord.
He is also survived by his daughters, Jeri Strader, Terri Collins, and Kaye (Dave) Blosser; 8 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Wilda in 2022; and siblings, June Elizabeth Nichols, Frank F. Hildebrandt, Richard Hildebrandt, and Lester Hildebrandt.
Funeral service is 2 pm Friday, March 28, 2025, at Lifeway Wesleyan Church, 7722 Moeller Rd., Fort Wayne with visitation two hours prior (12 to 2 pm). Burial IOOF Cemetery, New Haven.
