Herman P. Krohn's Obituary
Herman P. Krohn, 87, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Golden Years Homestead, Fort Wayne. Born in Payne, OH he was the son of the late John and Marie (Keller) Krohn. He retired in 1978 from Wayne Cooperative Milk Producers after 28 years as a truck driver and later took his driving skills to the Allen County Highway Department and retired in 1998 after working there for 20 years. Herman was also a farmer over his lifetime. He attended the Harlan United Methodist Church, Harlan.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jacinta (nee Jackson) Krohn; sons, Phillip (Beth) Krohn of Auburn, and David Krohn of Woodburn; daughters, Ann (Max) Kramer of Bentendorf, IA, Shari (Rodney) Varner of Edgewood, IA, and Katrina (Erik) Keim of Lugoff, SC; brothers, Henry Krohn of Hamilton and Walter (Nancy) Krohn of Angola; 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 4 step-great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Reverend James Platner officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial in Harlan Memorial Cemetery, Harlan. Preferred memorials to the Woodburn Fire Department or the Harlan Lions Club.
