Herb Bottoms' Obituary
Herb Bottoms, 81, of Fort Wayne, was called home with his loving family by his side, Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Kingston Care Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Ft. Wayne, he was the son of the late Arthur and Berneda Bottoms. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Woodburn and a member of the Harlan Lions Club for over 50 years. Herb retired from International Harvester Corp. in 1992 after 39 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Doretta of Ft. Wayne, son, Steven (Mary) Bottoms of Ft. Wayne, daughters: Pamela (Roger) Hoeppner of Spencerville, Mary (Tim) Condra of Woodburn; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother: Artie Bottoms.
Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Wednesday May 18, 2011 at Christ Lutheran Church, 4412 Park St., Woodburn with calling one half hour prior. Rev. Tim Edwards officiating. Calling is also 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven . Burial is in Scipio Cemetery, Harlan. Preferred memorials are to Kingston Care Center Rehab Staff or to the church.
