Helen Maxine Madden's Obituary
Helen Maxine Madden, 90, passed away with her loving family surrounding her on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Springfield Township, she was the daughter of the late William Widdifield and Flossie (Gorrell) Widdifield. She was a homemaker, she also worked at Sprouls Restaurant as a cook, and Bob’s Restaurant, Woodburn for 16 years as a pie maker.
She is survived by her husband Junior Lee Madden of 68 years; daughters Diana Rumsey of Orland, Christina Vardaman of Woodburn, Marcia (Donald) Smith of Maui, HI; sons Roger (Maureen) Madden of Laotto, Mark (Meg) Madden of Yoder; sister Eileen Bennett of New Haven; fifteen grandchildren and fourteen (almost fifteen) great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her sister Bertha Amstutz and brothers Kenneth, Ross and Dale Widdifield.
Funeral service is Tuesday, January 19, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at Harlan United Methodist, 16434 IN-37, Harlan, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Steve Bard and Pastor Robert Kloepping officiating Calling is 2:30 to 4:30 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2016 at the E. Harper and Son Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 East, New Haven. Burial in Scipio Cemetery, Harlan. In lieu of flowers preferred memorials to Harlan United Methodist Church and Parkview Home Health and Hospice.
