Helen L Cooley's Obituary
Helen L. Cooley, 82, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Parkview Randallia Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Mascoutah, IL she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Louise (Cast) Hangsleben. She was a founding member of Lifeway Wesleyan Church, Fort Wayne where she was the Sunday school superintendent and treasurer. She enjoyed following the Chicago Cubs, collecting snowmen, and listening to southern gospel quartets.
She is survived by her daughter, Ginny Stine; stepson, Bob (Norma) Cooley; granddaughter, Kristin Stine; step-grandsons, Nathan Cooley, and Jonathan (Angela) Cooley; step-great grandchildren, Brett and Madison Cooley. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Bird Null in 1966 and second husband Robert Cooley in 1985; granddaughter, Megan Stine; brothers, Robert, Richard, and Paul Hangsleben. Funeral Service is 11 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Lifeway Wesleyan Church, 7722 Moeller Rd., Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Rick Fletcher officiating. Burial at IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to the church. Harper’s Community Funeral Home, New Haven, is entrusted with the services.
