Hazel I. Ohneck's Obituary
Hazel I. Ohneck, 93, of New Haven, passed on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Bryan, OH she was the daughter of George and Carmah (nee Fisher) Hutchison. She was raised a Quaker and later became a longtime member of the former Calvary Presbyterian Church. She was a longtime supporter and exhibitor at the Allen County Fair. Hazel remained an active member of the Waynedale Order of the Eastern Star #600.
She is survived by her children, Beverly (Chris) Ohneck-Holly of Bloomington, Bryce (Diane) Ohneck of Edmonton Alberta, Canada, and Stan (Penny) Ohneck of Tell City; foster son, Edward Brown of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Amanda, Mollie, Leah, and Forest; four great grandchildren and siblings, Fredia Brunt of Temperance, MI and Margaret Bradley of Bryan, OH. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce D. Ohneck in 1993; and ten siblings.
Funeral service is 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to service. Pastor Scott Davis officiating. O.E.S services at 11:30 a.m. Burial is in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to the Eddie Brown Assistance Fund, c/o PNC Bank, 411 Lincoln Hwy W., New Haven.
