Harold H. "Sarge" Hasch's Obituary
Harold H. "Hoppy" Hasch, 85, died Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at home. Born in Sherwood, Ohio he was the son of the late Richard and Mamie Hasch. He served his country in the US Air Force and retired after 22 years of service. He also retired from S.S. Kresge Warehouse after 21 years.
He was a member of V.F.W. # 7686, American Legion Post 241 and F.O.E. #2556. He was also honored as a Kentucky Colonel.
He is survived by his sons, James (fiancé Virginia Lothamer) Hasch of New Haven and John Hasch of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rachel in 1999; two sisters; and one brother.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Lifeway Wesleyan Church, 7722 Moeller Rd., Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Pastor Rick Fletcher officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in the Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne with military honors. Preferred memorials are to the American Heart Association.
