Harold "Stanley" Robison, Col. USAR Ret.'s Obituary
Harold “Stanley” Robison, Col. USAR Ret., 78, of New Haven passed away, Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne he was the son of the late Harold and Elaine Robison. He retired after 34 years as printing services manager for Central Soya Co. He also retired in 1992 as a US Army Colonel after 35 years, last serving during Desert Shield/Desert Storm as Commander of Troop Family Services, Fort Wayne. He was presented with the Sagamore of the Wabash by Gov. Robert Orr in 1988. Stan was a member of American Legion Post 420, Monroeville. He was active in several associations including the Association of the United States Army, Military Officers Assoc. of America, and the United States Armor Assoc.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley; children, Geoffrey L. (Janice) Robison, Craig A. (Sharon) Robison, and Julia A. Robison all of New Haven; siblings, Gary Robison and Max (Sandy) Robison both of Fort Wayne, Tom (Carol) Robison of Ossian, and Luanne (Maury) Hoffman of Monroeville; 13 grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren . He was preceded in death by his son, Phillip Robison in 1995.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Ralph Klinker officiating. Calling is also 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial is in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven with full military honors. Preferred memorials to Schnelker Park Veterans Memorials.
