Harold C Franke's Obituary
Harold C. Franke, 79, passed away on August 9, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Waynedale, he was the son of the late Louis W. and Wilma (Brower) Franke. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven. He was an electronics technician for several companies and retired in 1999. Harold enjoyed photography, electronics, woodworking, music, choir, cooking, and gardening.
He is survived by his son, Clayton L. Franke of Avilla; sister, Donna North of New Haven; grandchildren, Robert Franke of Japan, Benjamin Franke of Fort Wayne, Logan Franke, Aaron Franke, and Jessica Franke all of New Haven, and Nicole Horida of Detroit, MI and 3 great grandchildren; former daughter in law, Mary Franke of New Haven. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Glendolyn “Jean” Franke in January 2016; son, Bruce Franke; one brother and three sisters.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green St., New Haven with calling 1 hour prior to service. The Reverend Scott Zeckzer officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 S.R. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to the Allen County Heart Association or Emanuel Lutheran Choir.
