Harold H. "Bake" Baker's Obituary
Harold H. “Bake” Baker, 94, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 at home. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Edward and Edna (Lehman) Baker. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1942 to 1946 with Sergeant Rank. He retired in 1981 from General Electric with over 40 years of service. He was heavily involved with bowling, softball, basketball, and golf. Harold was a loving man with great generosity and will be sadly missed by many people.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Mary Bradtmiller of New Haven; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Betty J. (Bradtmiller) Baker in 1988; four brothers; and five sisters.
Funeral service is 3 p.m. Sunday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling 11 a.m. to service time. Pastor David Stecker officiating. Burial in Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, New Haven with military honors. Preferred memorials to Heartland Hospice or Emanuel Lutheran Church.
