Harlow E. and Lois C. Baumgartner's Obituary
Harlow E. Baumgartner, 81 and Lois C. Baumgartner, 78 of Ft. Wayne died within hours of each other Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013 at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne after 61 years of marriage.
Harlow and Lois were Ft. Wayne natives and former co-owners of the Gill-Baum Manufacturing Company of New Haven. Harlow served in the U.S. Army and retired in 1980 from Gill-Baum Manufacturing to become a farming hobbyist. Lois was a dedicated homemaker. They were members of the Aboite Lutheran Church.
They are survived by their son Lenny Baumgartner of Ft. Wayne and Harlow's half –brothers, Roger Baumgartner of Roanoke and Larry Baumgartner of Ossian. They were preceded in death by Lois's parents Herman "Les" and Edna Gillespie.
Funeral service is 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour before service time. Pastor Rich Pagan officiating. Calling is also 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
