Gloria Sue Powe's Obituary
Gloria "Sue" Powe, 79, of New Haven, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2012 at her daughter's home. Born in Portland, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Treva Daniels. She was a very active member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven. She retired in 1988 from General Electric after 20 years.
She is survived by her children, Lisa (Jay) Schmidt, Steve (Janet) Powe, Mark (Kathy) Powe, and David (Sue) Powe; siblings, Lois (Joe) Huber, Dianna Adams. and Fred Daniels; and grandchildren, Adam (Angie), Leanne, and Austin Powe, Kyle, Bryan, and Alex Schmidt, and Kara Harz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Waymon S. Powe in 2000; and brother, Richard Daniels.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green St., New Haven with calling one hour prior to service. The Rev. David O. Stecker officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial is in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven or Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
