Glen C Davis' Obituary
Glen C. Davis, 78, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016.
Born in Farnam, NE, he was the son of the late Charles and Elsie (Banks) Davis. Glen graduated from the University of Nebraska. He was an engineer for Navistar and retired in 1993 after 33 years. Glen enjoyed hunting pheasant and was avid sport enthusiast, especially football and basketball, NASCAR and Indy races. Betty and Glen also enjoyed traveling in their motor home together.
He is survived by two daughters, Sheri (Kent) Winans of New Haven and Terri (Jim) Cummins of Harlan; sisters, Jeweldine (Orville) Gaibler of Farnam, NE, and Charlot (Russ) Williams of Eustis, NE; grandchildren, Nicole Winans, Jenna Cummins, Tim Cummins, Chris Cummins, Tom Cummins, and Jennifer Girton and 6 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Betty (Brown) Davis, and one brother, Kent Davis.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior to service. Pastor Don Delagrange officiating. Calling is also 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.
