Gerald leaves a legacy of faith because he lived a legacy of faithfulness. I appreciated his “long obedience in the same direction” as pursued his passion for Christ and His Kingdom. He loved people, and we all sensed it. Our connection was infrequent but enjoyable each time. His encouragement and enjoyment of humor are among my first-flash memories of Pastor Ringenberg. He was a blessed man and a blessing for certain! Donna and I pray that
God’s grace and goodness is magnified in the mission and memory of your father’s life, Roger and Gary.

My name is Richard Kees, a neighbor of Gerald and he will always be remembered as a good person that he was---while visiting in the Parkview hospital one day, as I was in similar work for our Lord, I came in contact with he and violet. I ask him what he was doing now in his retirement and he said something in the order of that he was a youth minister at some little church north of here. We laughed and marveled at his love for our Lord.

For several years I was the MC at the Harlan Alumni banquet and he always obliged in leading the prayer for our meal. A couple of years ago, I distinctively remember him leading the prayer and I had a visiting preacher visiting with me from Florida and he commented on Gerald's prayer. I for one will miss him.
