Mr. Pond help me find financial aid for college, a scholarship that I didn't even know was available. During my first semester of college, Mr. Pond journeyed to campus to check in with me and my fellow Woodlan grads to see how we were doing. My Mom taught at Woodlan and she always held the highest respect and admiration for Mr. Pond as he helped many of her students, too. I don't think I ever saw him without a smile on his face. What a great guy.
Mr Pond was guidance counselor at woodlan when I was a student. Money was tight at our house. He helped me find scholarships for my nursing education. For that I will forever be grateful.
While I have not seen George for, probably, four decades or longer, I remember that he was a pleasant fellow to work with when we were both part-time security officers at Magnavox. He worked there at least a couple of summers in the late 1970's with his Woodlan co-workers Keith Pierson and the late Howard Baulkey.
