George Thomas Ocock's Obituary
George Thomas Ocock, 86, of New Haven, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Belvidere, IL, he was the son of the late Vance Ocock and Cora (Gates) Buesing. George was a truck driver and the owner of GTO Associates, New Haven. He enjoyed drag racing, following the Chicago Bears, and reading. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Edna (Ashcraft) Ocock; children, Deborah Shearer, Diane (Jeff) Harrington, David (Cynthia) Ocock, and Dale (Kelly) Ocock; brother, Robert (Maribeth) Ocock; 8 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, John and Roland Ocock; great granddaughter, Eillona Shearer; stepfather, Herman Buesing; son-in-law, Stephen Shearer.
Services are private. Family will be receiving friends Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 12-2 pm and 3-5 pm at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 E. State Rd. 930 E., New Haven.
