Geneva Marie Brueck's Obituary
Geneva Marie Brueck, 89, of New Haven, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Heritage Park Assisted Living, Fort Wayne. Born on October 4, 1936, in West Plains, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Marie (Gliedt) Doehrman. She was a long-time faithful member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven, and volunteered with Sunday school and vacation bible school for many years. Geneva was also a teacher’s aide and eventually retired as the school secretary of Central Lutheran School after 25 plus years of service. She loved watching birds and growing her roses at home. She also enjoyed baking and sharing her beloved chocolate chip brownies. At Heritage Park, she was an active participant in all the social activities, especially bingo. The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Park Assisted Living for their compassionate care and friendship during her time there. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Oliver E. Brueck; children, Karen (Dusty) Dailey, and Kevin (Stacia Shirey) Brueck; grandson, Zachary Dailey. She was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Pamela Sue Brueck; and brother, Paul E Doehrman. Funeral service is 10:30 am Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green St., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 4 to 7 pm Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 E., New Haven. Burial in the church cemetery. Preferred memorials to Central Lutheran School or Worship Anew.
