Gary L. Wichern's Obituary
Gary L. Wichern, 63, of Fort Wayne passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at home. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Gene and Ruth (Gerardot) Wichern. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven. He served his country in the US Army and retired from Dana Corp. in 2004 after 33 years.
He is survived by his sisters, Kathy (Joel) Essex and Gail (Gene) Place both of New Haven; significant other, Debi Bauer of Fort Wayne; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Edgerton Rd., West of S. Doyle Rd. New Haven followed by burial with military honors. The Rev. Paul Shoemaker officiating. Preferred memorials are to Parkview Home Health and Hospice or Emanuel Lutheran Church.
