Gary Lee Johannsen's Obituary
Gary Lee Johannsen, 47, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Gary was a handful in his younger days, but he managed to achieve his dream of owning and driving a big rig across the country. When his transportation career ground to a halt, Gary turned his considerable talents to documenting all the memories made with his wife, Heidi (Notestine) Johannsen, their family and friends, and of course his dogs. Gary is survived by his wife, Heidi; stepchildren, Jacen Felger (21), Tarna Felger (19) and Jaidyn Felger (18); parents, Gary and Sharon (Sheckles) Johannsen; sister, Erika (James Hernandez) Johannsen; brother, Nate (Janelle) Johannsen; nephews, Nolan and Hayden; niece, Cathern; as well as his extend family and friends. Gary was well loved and will be missed. Celebration of Life is 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Humane Fort Wayne.
