Gary A. Lanoue's Obituary
Gary A. Lanoue, 78, died Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Wenachee, WA, he was the son of the late Jess and Verna Lanoue. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven and was a former member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Waynedale. He served his country in the US Air Force, which led him to a career as a corporate pilot for Magnavox Corp. He later went on to own a fishing charter business in the state of Washington. In his spare time he enjoyed building model airplanes and breeding tropical fish.
Gary is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gladys; children, Terry (Diane) Lanoue of Memphis, IN and Kathy (Darrin) Poling of Fort Wayne; sister, Gail (Ray) Pollelo of Chelan, WA; seven grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Memorial Mass is 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with calling 1/2 hour prior. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Calling is also 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with a vigil service at 5:45 p.m. Preferred memorials are to Masses.
