Garnita Rebber's Obituary
Garnita Rebber, 92, of New Haven, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Lutheran Life Villages, Fort Wayne. Born in Allen County, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Ida (Luttman) Scheumann. She was a member of Martini Lutheran Church, New Haven, where she had been a Sunday school teacher, and was involved in LWML. She was a wonderful seamstress who took great pride in making beautiful wedding dresses. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing softball, making rag rugs on her loom as well as gardening, and canning.
She is survived by her children, Jim (Angela) Rebber and Susan (Steve) Heeren; grandchildren, Adrienne (Killian) Miller, Corinne (Branden) Bennett, Nicole (Cody) Dreckman, and Emily (Zach) Murphy; and nine great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Richard Arthur Rebber in 2004; siblings, Ray (Helen) Scheumann, Arnold Scheumann, Henry (Delores) Scheumann, Geraldine (Albert) Meyer, Lona (Eno) Horman, and Margaret (Clifford) Kiefer.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Martini Lutheran Church, 333 Moeller Rd, New Haven with visitation two hours prior (9 to 11am). Burial in the church cemetery.
