Franklin Stevens Jr.'s Obituary
Franklin Stevens, Jr., 69, of Fort Wayne passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Marion, he was the son of the late Frank and Audra (Powell) Stevens. He served his country in the Army National Guard and retired from American Electric Power Company. Among his many loves were camping, woodworking, and NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife of over 49 years, Joyce; children, Robert (Danette Emerick) Stevens of Hoagland and Laura (Darrin) McCormick of Fort Wayne; siblings, Garry (Donna) Stevens of Fairmount, Mary Lou (Charles) Fisher of Marion, and Diana Clemons of Swayzee; grandchildren, Kristina (Donald) Chambers, Derrick (Kaiti) Cooper, Heather (Carlin) Hargrow, Cody Cooper, Austin McCormick, Shannon Stevens, and Elijah McCormick; and five great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Richard Carper.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Monday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior to service. Calling is also 1 to 5 p.m Sunday at the funeral home. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to America Cancer Society.
