Frances Farina's Obituary
Frances “Fran” Farina, 98, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Coventry Meadows Rehabilitation and Nursing, Fort Wayne. Born in Danbury, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Teresa (Mecilli) Scorza. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. She was a bookkeeper for both her husband’s business, Farm Implement Store, and Tom’s T.V. and Appliances in New Haven. She was also a licensed beautician. Fran loved bowling and was a member of the WISBA League.
She is survived by sons, Michael Farina of New Haven and William Farina of Fort Wayne; and three grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tom Farina in 1991; three brothers; and three sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with calling from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery. Preferred memorials are to Masses or Alzheimer Association.
