Florence B. Shepherd's Obituary
Florence B. Shepherd, 94, went to her Heavenly home, Friday, March 31, 2017 at Golden Years Homestead, Fort Wayne. Born on July 17, 1922 in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Elizabeth (Zuber) Lembach. She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, Fort Wayne.
She is survived by her children, James Shepherd and David (Maureen) Shepherd both of Fort Wayne, Barbara Myers of Chuckey, TN and Mary (Mike) Porter of New Haven; daughter-in-law, Carol Shepherd of Columbia City; 17 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and numerous great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Donald in 2009; infant son, Michael Shepherd in 1952; son, William Shepherd; son-in-law, William Myers; and siblings, Edna Menefee and John “Bud” Lembach.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Henry Catholic Church, 2929 Paulding Rd., Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. The Father Daniel Durkin officiating. Calling also 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials to Heartland Hospice or St. Henry’s Catholic Church.
