Florence C. Halley's Obituary
Florence C. Halley, 94, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, April 24, 2011 at The Village of Heritage, Monroeville. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Gustav and Josephine Haggenjos. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Fort Wayne. She retired in 1977 from Sears and had previously worked at General Electric and Lincoln National Life Insurance Company.
She is survived by her children, Barbara (Clair) Carey North of New Haven, Margaret Sorg and Herbert (Margaret) Halley both of Fort Wayne; sister-in-law, Delores Haggenjos of Fort Wayne; 13 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert A. Halley in 1996; and siblings, Elizabeth, George (Francis), John , Gustav, Josephine, and Martha Haggenjos, and Margaret (Robert) Stout
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Charles Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd., Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior at the church. Msgr. John Suelzer officiating. Calling is also 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. Burial is in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to the Masses or St. Charles School Financial Aid.
