Everett H. "Hursh" Sauders' Obituary
Everett H. “Hursh” Sauders, 86, of New Haven, died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born on Hursh Rd, Perry Twp., he was the son of the late Albert and Dora Sauders. He was a member of Word of Liberty Church, New Haven. Everett served his country as a B-25 pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII. He retired in 1985 from East Allen Co. Schools where he was a Math and Science teacher both at New Haven High School and Paul Harding High School. Everett also was a professor at IPFW for 20 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty; sons: Rex A. and David C. ( Denise) Sauders, both of New Haven; brother, Murray Sauders of Mt. Ida, AK; sister, Carol Stubbs of Escondido, CA; and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral service is 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling 2 hours prior to service. Pastor Lee Miller officiating. Burial is in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Fort Wayne Mental Health Association.
